CLBA Education Project – AIS

This is recent pictures of the signage that is posted now coming in and going out of the boat ramp on the south side access to Clear Lake. This was discussed at the Annual Meeting with the 40 members present. It was decided the board would work with SD Game and Fish to get more visible and educational signage in place this summer.

A brochure was sent to each of the residents on what we can each do to prevent contamination of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS). This is helpful to educate not only yourselves but your guests and visitors that use the lake. If you did not receive one please contact Sandy Jaspers, Sandy.Jaspers@gmail.com, to give her your correct contact information.

Also discussed at the meeting was our AIS representative, Dave Bankers and he shared the following information at our meeting. Please review his ppt video and direct questions to dbankers@yahoo.com.

Also presenting at our meeting was Mark Ermar, SD Game and Fish. I have attached his ppt video that he presented for you to watch. It has a fishing report as well as AIS pictures you may find useful. If you have questions please direct them to Mark.Ermer@state.sd.us.

We as a board will update this information as we have new developments and gain new insights into this project.
